1. a process in which molten metal is spread by centrifugal force onto the surface of a die to make items with a basic cylindrical shape, as a saucepan.
2. a metalworking process, performed by hand or on a lathe, by which a metal disc is placed over a form, the whole being rotated at speed while a tool is used to apply pressure to the disc causing it to flow over the form with an even thickness; used to make urns, decorations, etc.
